Three consequences of learning about the international early childhood field
Learning about international programs in early childhood has helped me to understand ways to improve programs in my own classroom. Also, I have improved my understanding of poverty and other issues that impact children around the world. The research that I have studied has been beneficial to my professional development as an educator. Furthermore, I have enhanced my personal development by learning from other early childhood professionals and developing a passion for combating poverty.
Goal for International Awareness
My goal for international awareness is to develop a program to combat poverty in early childhood education. I plan to achieve this goal by continuing to study international research.
Elnora,
ReplyDeleteI think this course has been an eye opener for many of us with regards to issues affecting our children right here in the United States especially the issue of poverty. You seem very passionate about the issue of poverty and I commend you for taking action to support children and families who are dealing with it. I agree that the information we have come across within this program has been very beneficial to our development as professionals. I wish you the best of luck in your work as an early childhood professional and in your work in combating poverty.
Hi Elnora
ReplyDeletePoverty, is one of the biggest issue affecting our children's education. Many schools have made an impact by sending home a backpact meal on Friday, but still there is a lot more that we as professional can do. Thanks for your concern in making a difference in the lives of young children.
Elnora,
ReplyDeleteThis class has really opened my eyes to the level of poverty in my own community. I will be looking for ways I can help in this area.
I also gained insight on poverty as an international crisis. This course has also provided me with the necessary tools to research and learn about local poverty.Thank you for sharing your responses and good luck in future courses.
ReplyDeleteI hope that we all have the ability not to only make a change for the better but to actually see councilmen, school committees attempt to make a concrete change which is effective. Saying it is one thing but seeing it be carried out and go into effect is another. There are too many families and children doing without and the struggles lead to child abandonment, neglect and despair. I hope we can better the lives of children and their families so children are able to focus on school in a healthy environment.
